Maid of honor

I'm the maid of honor in my aunt's wedding yesterday. I enjoyed this experience even though it's occassionally stressful. I am the one who assist the bride for her needs and the hardest part is carrying and arranging the bride's long and heavy gown.

Sushi Day!

Sushi Day!

 I'm at my friend's house. We had Sushi for dinner. So the title should be "Sushi night" instead of Sushi day?  We ended up calling this as a Sushi day because we already planned to have sushi for Wednesday and we all came there late.

And here, I'll show and tell you how to make sushi.

First, the things you needed to make sushi.

-A bamboo rolling mat (Makisu)

-Cutting board

-A sharp knife 

-glass bowl

-Medium grain rice

-Rice vinegar

-SugarNori Seaweed or soybean paper (for rolls)

-Wasabi (Japanese horseradish mustard)

-Gari (pickled, thinly sliced ginger)

-Fish

-seafood, fruits or vegetables as desired

-Soy sauce

The Preparation method: 

Centre one sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. The nori should lay on the rolling mat with the rough side facing upwards.

In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar and salt. Blend the mixture into the rice.

Get your hands wet, and make about a handful of rice to a ball of rice. It's important to keep your hands wet while working with sushi rice because it is sticky.

 Gently put the rice ball in the middle of the nori sheet, and start spreading it equally on the nori. 

Arrange 1/4 of the cucumber, ginger, mango and seafood of your choice in a line down the centre of the rice. Lift the end of the mat, and gently roll it over the ingredients, pressing gently. Roll it forward to make a complete roll. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Now, It's time to show our own sushi.

  Back then, my friend used to made me sushi but I think I didn't like the taste of the nori /Japanese roasted seaweed but now I think I’m used to the taste of it and I kinda actually like it compared before :D

I had a great day yesterday. I hang out at my friend's house, did not go to school (that was not great) and we go to the thrift store that night. I'll show you what I bought after these outfit post.

I love the patterns of this yellow bag and the fringy lace of this turquoise bag.

You won't gonna believe it if  I'd tell you that this  Denim and Leopard  jacket is cost for only 15.00php? Haha. But it's true. Can't wait to wear this. Even though the other sequence is broken.

There's a lot of things that you can buy in the thrift store, great finds in an affordable price and you can also make a discount. 

Lovely Inspiration

   This is Zoe Flood of Grand Theft Thrift.

She's one of the first's person who inspired me in the Lookbook community.

I always waits for Zoe's looks back then. And the picture above was one of her looks which her dress became my inspiration for my last year's acquaintance. :)

I tried to tell Zoe about this and show my photo to her and she said that she really love this and she will be amazingly flattered if I'll post it here. So.. here it goes. I'm so glad that she liked it. :D  I remembered my hair back then that was too short and I thought that the improvement of how long my hair was on my shoulder level. For a year? Imagining what I did to my hair and It was horror! lol. Anyhow, I'm gonna stop discussing about my hair issues and will gonna talk here soon! Haha. I have a busy week. but now I'm so thankful that our midterm exam are finished and I'm just wishing you all a happy weekend! 

Days are numbers

It's been a very lazy week. All I just did is sleep. Never stop complaining and reasoning for I am always not in the mood to be in school. ayt. I have to get rid of this bad habit.
